I am mom to a 3 1/2 year old daughter diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum over a year ago. I've had a hard time making connections with other moms and dads with kids on the spectrum. I'd like to find some local friends to get together for coffee to vent and laugh over our struggles and triumphs. I'm thinking that once a week for an hour get together would be nice. This group is for children with "special needs" under age 4 and their families in the Nashua, NH area. Families with "typically developing" children are also encouraged to join. We hope to provide support, encouragement, share resources, and most of all have playgroups and outings to give our children opportunities to socialize, learn, grow, and celebrate one another! Older and younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun at any meetup!

… You don't have to RSVP for your kids.  We usually have around 2-3 meetups scheduled a week, some at people's houses, but some at indoor playspaces or libraries.  In the summer we also go to parks and stroller walks outside.  Most of the meetups are in and around Groton, Westford, Ayer, Pepperell and Townsend.  Some of them are also in Maynard, Acton, Littleton, Harvard, Nashua or Leominster.
